Overview
University of Utah Asia Campus (UAC) provides on-campus housing for both new and continuing students.
The dormitories are located within walking distance of campus and are designed to offer a convenient and independent living environment, especially for students who are new to UAC.
Each room is fully furnished and includes:
- A bed frame and mattress
- Desk, chair, and wardrobe
- A waste bin
- LAN cable and Wi-Fi router
- In-room shower and toilet facilities
- Access to a shared small kitchen
The standard bed size is approximately 940 mm (W) × 1940 mm (L).
There is no required meal plan, so students are responsible for their own meals.
Housing is not automatically assigned, and availability may be limited depending on application timing.
Campus VR tour is available to view the residence hall and room interiors in advance.
Room Types
UAC housing is primarily offered based on occupancy:
Single Room
A private room for one student, offering more personal space

Double Room
A shared room for two students and the most common, cost-effective option

Students may indicate their preferred room type during the application process.
Final room type is confirmed when housing results are released.
Application Timeline and Process
Housing must be applied for separately for each semester.
Typical application timelines are:
- Spring / Fall: approximately 10–12 weeks before the semester begins
- Summer / Early Spring (Winter): approximately 6–8 weeks before the term begins
Housing application instructions and the application link will be sent to your UAC email, so students should check their university email regularly.
For new students, you must complete your Intent to Enroll and activate your university account and email in order to receive housing application information.
The process is as follows:
- Submit your housing application during the application period
- You may indicate your preferred room type at this stage
- Wait for the housing result announcement
- Once results are released:
- Your room type will be confirmed
- Complete the housing agreement
- Pay the housing fee online
For international students, the university will make the housing payment on the student’s behalf. The amount must then be paid to the university during the tuition payment period after move-in.
Specific room assignments (such as building and room number) are provided at move-in.
Please note that UAC housing is not managed through the CIS Housing Portal. The CIS portal is for the Salt Lake City campus only, and UAC students should not submit housing applications through CIS.
