UAC Announces Strategic Partnership with Gate Gourmet Korea


The University of Utah Asia Campus (UAC), under the leadership of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Gregory Cash Hill, has announced a significant partnership with Gate Gourmet Korea (GGK), a leading provider of in-flight catering services to major airlines, including Asiana Airlines. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) enhances educational and industry collaboration, offering UAC students improved internship and employment opportunities.

The MOU signing ceremony took place on 24 April in the conference room on the 8th floor of the UAC building. Attendees included GGK’s Managing Director and Country Head, Qin Liang Lim, along with two other representatives. Representing UAC were CAO Gregory Hill and John Daemin Woo, Assistant Director of the Career and Internship Development Center, plus two other staff members.

Key initiatives of this partnership include:

  • Providing UAC students with internships and job opportunities at GGK.
  • Developing joint projects relevant to both institutions.
  • Facilitating expert guest lectures and exchanges between the two institutions.

CAO Gregory Hill expressed his enthusiasm about the agreement, stating, “This MOU offers our students numerous opportunities to grow as professionals in related industries, equipping them with the essential skills and experience to excel.”

Qin Liang Lim, Managing Director of GGK, commented on the collaboration, saying, “We are delighted to partner with the University of Utah Asia Campus to develop the next generation of leaders at GGK. I’m confident that both sides will benefit from this partnership and look forward to the dynamic initiatives we have planned.”
