The University of Utah Asia Campus Career & Internship Development Center was pleased to host ‘Connect & Thrive: Strategies for career success in Korea & abroad‘ for International Education Week.
As our university focuses on fostering global talent in today’s job market, it is essential for our students to learn how to gain the competitive edge not only through their education but also in their career preparation as well.
We were honored to have Rytis Joseph Jan, SVP of Global Strategic Partnerships & Government Relations at Xsolla, & Genya Smagin, AI Strategy Development & Partnerships Lead at SK Telecom visit our campus and share their stories (both personal & professional) on their career journey, tips & advice for job seekers in Korea, & also explain the future of AI in gaming & various industries.
They also explained the importance of embracing & understanding various cultures in order to be successful for a global career, followed by a Q&A session.
Daemin Woo, Assistant Director of the Career & Internship Development Center & organizer of this event states, “Respecting diverse cultures in today’s professional world is not just a moral obligation but a pathway to fostering unity and collaboration. We want our students to be able to utilize their strengths and contribute to any society with their global mindset & innovative thinking.”
