Bio

Evan J. Benoit received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Utah in 2020 and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2023. His focus of study is in electromagnetics and transmission lines. He also received a B.S. degree in nuclear engineering and technology from Excelsior College in 2015.

Prior to attending the University of Utah in 2015, he was a submarine nuclear field electrician’s mate in the US Navy. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Utah Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea, where he teaches Physics I and II as well as undergraduate ECE courses. When not in the classroom, he enjoys long-distance bikepacking trips and making pottery.
