General Information
Students at the University of Utah Asia Campus are eligible for on-campus housing. Students are housed in furnished apartment buildings that have lounges, a laundromat, exercise facilities, and a cafeteria. The University of Utah provides a safe, comfortable, and healthy living environment shared with students from other universities at the Incheon Global Campus.
To ensure the safety and privacy of our residents, IGC Housing is gender segregated. Each floor/wing is designated for either males or females, and entry into areas designated for the opposite gender is prohibited, in accordance with IGC regulations.
The residency period for both spring and fall semesters typically lasts for 16 - 17 weeks, or about 4 months, depending on the university's academic calendar. The housing fees for the entire residency period vary based on room type and residency period:
Single room: KRW 1,800,000 per person for 16 weeks
Double room: KRW 1,200,000 per person for 16 weeks
It's important to note that the exact housing fees can vary, so students should consult the semester-specific announcements for precise amounts for each term.

Application for Student Housing
Eligibility Requirements
Students must meet the following eligibility requirements, or they may not be eligible to apply for housing.
- Enrollment Status: Students must be enrolled in Utah Asia Campus classes for the semester in which they wish to reside in on-campus housing.
- Conduct Record: Students are required to have a satisfactory conduct record with both Utah Asia Campus and IGC Housing.
Application Process
Housing applications must be submitted to the university for each spring and fall semester.
New students and returning students follow different processes separately from each other. Please see below for more information.
New Student
New students will be offered a residency on a first-come, first-serve basis within the pre-allocated quota. While we try to guarantee all new students receive housing, please note there are a limited number of beds available.
International student applications are prioritized due to difficulty securing off-campus housing. Housing assignments will be processed by the priority deadline. You will be added to a waitlist if you are not assigned a room.
Returning students
Returning students will be selected based on the proximity of their residences to the campus and their student classification. Priority will be given to those living farther from campus and lower-class students.
Signing Housing Contract
Successful applicants will receive individual notifications through their university email accounts and be required to sign the housing contract online. Once the contract is signed, students are committed to the housing agreement for the entire residency term.
By signing the contract, you agree to the following:
- The duration of the residency period, including move-in and move-out dates
- Room type and associated fees
- Compliance with IGC Housing rules and regulations
Cancellation Policy
To be released from your housing commitment, you must submit a release request via email to uacslic@utah.edu, including a reason for cancellation. Generally, requests are not approved for the following reasons: roommate issues, lack of privacy, signing another lease off-campus, or personal financial concerns.
The request must be submitted before the first day of the residency period. Requests submitted after the first day may incur a cancellation fee in accordance with the IGC Housing refund policy.
If you decide to take a leave of absence or defer your admission, you must cancel your housing separately. Failure to do so may result in a cancellation fee, as outlined in the IGC Housing refund policy.
Paying for Housing
Process for housing payment depends on your student status. Please refer to the information below. Please note that failure to complete payment in time may result in cancellation of one's residency.
New Student & International Student
New students and international students pay for housing shortly after their move-in. Students are required to pay their housing fees in USD to the university. The cost of housing will be included in their tuition bill.
Domestic Student
Domestic students pay for housing while signing their housing contract online. Students are required to pay their housing fees in KRW directly to IGC Housing.
