Exchange students are those who are currently studying at a college or university but wish to spend one term at the University of Utah Asia Campus.

Application Process
To be eligible to apply as an Exchange Student or Non-Degree Seeking Student (NDS), you must
- Have graduated from an accredited high school/secondary school or obtained the equivalent by passing the GED or HiSET exam if you wish to take undergraduate-level courses.
- Currently enrolled in a college or university.
Undergraduate exchange students are only admitted for one term and must reapply if they wish to continue taking courses.

- What to know before you start:
- You will need to pay the $65 application fee to submit your application. This fee is non-refundable and must be paid online using a credit card.
- We recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari to complete your online application.
You are required to submit official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges or universities you have previously attended.
If you have completed fewer than 30 transferable semester hours or 45 transferable quarter hours, you will also be required to submit an official high school transcript.
Paper transcripts can be mailed directly from the college or university or brought in an envelope sealed by the school to:

Electronic transcripts can be requested through one of the following services:
- Parchment/Naviance
- National Student Clearinghouse
- Credentials Solutions
- eScrip-Safe
- Scoir
If prompted for a recipient email address when ordering your transcript, please use admisstranscripts@utah.edu. Transcripts sent directly through email or fax will not be considered official. Applications will only be reviewed once all official transcripts have been received.
We’ll evaluate your application once we receive all required application materials.
You can track your application by logging into your Student Portal. Please allow 7-10 business days for your checklist to reflect materials sent via mail or digital delivery services.
Once you have successfully submitted your online application and all required documents, your application will be reviewed and you should receive your decision within 3-4 weeks.
