Morning Tour of Songdo and Incheon

The morning tour of Songdo and Incheon was a delightful experience for all attendees, offering a comprehensive and scenic view of the city's iconic sites.

 

Interactive Tour of U Asia Campus

The interactive tour of U Asia Campus successfully showcased the campus's evolution over the past decade.

 

Family BBQ & Carnival

Kick off the 10th Anniversary Celebration with a lively afternoon for the whole family. The carnival will feature thrilling games, rides, live music, and various entertainment options spread across the Incheon Global Campus. Complimentary snacks and a variety of food options will be available, making it a delightful and inclusive event for all. The carnival event was highly successful, drawing over 2,200 attendees from diverse groups such as the Incheon community, U Asia Campus and Salt Lake City Campus staff and faculty, current students from UAC and IGC universities, MOU school students, and local school students. This wide participation highlighted the event’s impact and community reach.

Private Tour of Seoul

The private tour of Seoul was an enriching and immersive experience, allowing participants to explore key cultural landmarks such as Namsan Tower, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and Insadong. The guided excursions offered in-depth insights into Seoul’s history and modern life, leaving attendees with a profound appreciation for the city.

Culture Workshop

The cultural workshops were a resounding success, offering attendees a hands-on, immersive experience in Korean traditions. In the morning, participants learned the art of traditional kimchi preparation and created personalized silk scarves, taking home both skills and unique souvenirs. The afternoon session provided a serene experience with a traditional tea ceremony, K-dessert making, and the opportunity to wear the Hanbok. Together, these workshops enriched attendees' understanding and appreciation of Korean culture, making for a memorable and fulfilling part of the celebration.

Student & Department Expo

The Student & Department Expo successfully highlighted the achievements and research of U Asia Campus students and faculty. It was an excellent platform for showcasing the hard work and dedication of the campus community over the years.

 

Welcome Ceremony & Giving Ceremony

The Welcome Ceremony set a warm and celebratory tone for the evening’s events. Attendees enjoyed drinks and appetizers while gaining insights into the capital campaign, designed to propel U Asia Campus into its next decade of growth. The unveiling of the donor wall was a highlight, generating excitement and a strong sense of collective purpose among attendees, as it honored contributors and inspired continued support for the university’s vision and future projects.

Film Showcase

The Film Showcase by the Film & Media Arts department at Megabox was a cinematic highlight, featuring some of the finest works by U Asia Campus students. The audience was captivated by the creativity and storytelling displayed, demonstrating the exceptional talent within the department. It was a proud moment for the campus community, fostering appreciation for the arts.

10th Anniversary Gala

The 10th Anniversary Gala at the Paradise Hotel was an extraordinary and elegant event, attended by over 660 guests, including distinguished VIPs such as Utah Governor Spencer Cox, Utah Senate President Stuart Adams, World Trade Center Utah President & CEO Jonathan Freedman, Incheon Free Economic Zone Commissioner Won-sok Yun, President of the Korean Alumni Association Yong-gil Sung, InBody CEO Cha Ki-chul, and University of Utah President Taylor Randall. The event also welcomed alumni, current staff, and faculty, creating a sophisticated atmosphere to celebrate a decade of accomplishments for the U Asia Campus. The gala served as a fitting and memorable conclusion to the anniversary celebrations, reinforcing the strong connections and shared vision within the U Asia Campus community.

The U Asia Campus

is an expanded campus of the University of Utah in the United States. Opened in Songdo International City, Incheon in 2014, the campus offers general education courses and hosts nine majors, including Accounting, Communication, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Film and Media Arts, Games, Information Systems, Psychology, and Urban Ecology. Students who enroll at the U Asia Campus study in Incheon for three years, then travel to Utah for a year to finish their degree and receive the same diploma as the University of Utah in the United States. U students enrolled through the Salt Lake City campus can also have an impactful international experience at the U Asia Campus, take courses in English from U faculty, and pay in-state tuition for up to two semesters.
