Dr. Scott W. Boyle is a professor/lecturer in the BSW program at the University Of Utah College Of Social Work. His academic experience includes teaching at both the MSW and BSW levels of social work for the past twenty-seven years. His focus has centered on micro and mezzo practice as well as on human behavior in the social environment. He holds a MSW degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Brigham Young University. He began his teaching career at Grambling State University, in the state of Louisiana, where he served as the chair of the Mental Health Committee for eight years. He has co-authored two social work texts as well as a number of articles related to the profession. Dr. Boyle’s practice experience has centered on the field of mental health and rehabilitation. He has been employed by numerous psychiatric, rehabilitation, and general medical hospitals providing both inpatient and outpatient clinical services. He has also maintained a private practice for the past twenty-five years.
He is here with his wife of thirty-six years, Jane. They have two sons both of whom recently completed graduate degrees. They are the grandparents of four, the most recent arrived on July 29th. Scott’s hobbies include golf, fly and ice-fishing, and traveling.
