Bio

Philip Garcia is an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) of Animation film production, Film and with the Film Arts Department, at the University of Utah Asia Campus. Originally from the Philippines but now resides in California, he previously taught 3D Animation and Life Drawing Human Anatomy and Animal anatomy Drawing classes at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore before studying his Masters in 3D computer Animation, creating a short 3D animated sequence about the endangered Tiger at Bournemouth university, UK. He worked at major studios on two big budget feature animated films“Prince of Egypt” & “Road to El Dorado” with Dreamworks Animation, Los Angeles as a Cleanup Animation. After that worked as Layout Artist/ animator on television animation productions for “Futurama” (one season) & ‘Simpsons” (one Season) in Los Angeles. And went freelance as a 3D Animator in San Diego. He received his BFA majored in Advertising, at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila Philippines.
