Dr. Cory Inman’s Guest Lecture on Episodic Memory in the Wild

On June 4, 2025, Dr. Cory Inman from the University of Utah’s Salt Lake City campus visited the Asia Campus to deliver a guest lecture titled “Capturing and Enhancing Episodic Memory in the Wild.” Dr. Inman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology, with research interests spanning cognition and neural science. He was invited by the UAC Psychology Department to engage with students and share insights from his cutting-edge research.

The lecture focused on the innovative work conducted in Dr. Inman’s Immersive NeuroModulation and Neuroimaging (INMAN) Lab, which aims to understand and enhance memory in real-world environments. His lab explores how neuroscience can be translated into practical, therapeutic applications, and is composed of students from various academic backgrounds who share a strong interest in cognitive psychology and neuroscience.

Dr. Inman’s visit provided an exciting opportunity for students to learn about the intersection of technology, memory, and the brain outside of traditional lab settings. He encouraged students to think creatively about how research can move beyond the laboratory and into real-world contexts where it can make a meaningful impact.
