2026 Major/Minor Day

The Psychology Department participated in the University of Utah Asia Campus Major/Minor Day on May 12, 2026, in U104, joining departments and campus organizations across campus to help students explore academic pathways and discover programs that match their interests and career goals.

Throughout the event, psychology peer advisors and faculty members welcomed students to the department’s booth and introduced the Psychology major and minor programs. Students learned about psychology courses, research opportunities, and the wide range of career fields connected to the study of psychology.

One of the highlights of the booth was an interactive personality test activity inspired by the Big Five personality theory. Students answered a series of fun questions and placed stickers on a personality board based on their responses. The activity drew strong participation and created an energetic environment as students compared results and discussed different personality traits with friends and faculty members.

Students who visited the booth also received stamps for free lunch and raffle entry opportunities, making the event both engaging and rewarding.

Through its interactive and welcoming presence, the Psychology Department introduced students to the diverse applications of psychology while highlighting the supportive academic community available to students pursuing the major or minor.
