University of Utah Executive MBA Students Visit Asia Campus, Fostering Global Engagement and Insight

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, the University of Utah Asia Campus welcomed a distinguished group of Executive MBA (EMBA) students from the David Eccles School of Business, along with Bradley M. Vierig, CPA, MBA, Associate Dean of MBA Programs and Executive Education.

During the visit, Associate Dean Vierig delivered an engaging introduction to the University of Utah’s Executive MBA program, highlighting its focus on global leadership, strategic thinking, and real-world business application. The EMBA program attracts experienced professionals from various industries, equipping them with the skills needed to succeed in today’s global economy.

It was Vierig’s first visit to the Asia Campus. Reflecting on his experience, he said, “I’m so glad we came this year because it’s been a wonderful experience—meeting the students, hearing their perspectives, and engaging with the faculty.”

He also emphasized the importance of global exposure for EMBA students, noting that visits like this enable participants to broaden their perspectives beyond a U.S.-centric view and better understand international markets and business landscapes.

The visiting EMBA students—comprised of accomplished mid- to senior-level professionals representing multiple industries and sectors—also had the opportunity to learn more about the University of Utah’s unique global campus model, including the role of the Asia Campus as an extension of its international educational footprint.

A key highlight of the visit was the meaningful exchange between the EMBA students and Asia Campus students. Asia Campus student panelists shared their academic and professional experiences, contributing to a dynamic exchange of ideas. The visiting cohort offered valuable insights drawn from their extensive professional experience, offering real-world perspectives on leadership, innovation, and industry challenges. These interactions provided Asia Campus students with both inspiration and encouragement as they prepare for their future careers.

Imogen Pue, an Accounting sophomore who participated in the session, reflected on the experience, saying, “It was interesting to hear from professionals at the Salt Lake campus, and I especially liked that students here also shared their perspectives—it felt like a real exchange of ideas.”

The event also served as a valuable networking opportunity, fostering connections between students across campuses and backgrounds. Through open dialogue and shared experiences, participants strengthened their global perspectives and built relationships that extend beyond the classroom.

The University of Utah Asia Campus continues to expand its role as a hub for global engagement, offering students meaningful opportunities to connect with accomplished professionals and gain firsthand exposure to international business practices.
