The University of Utah Asia Campus recently hosted two fun and engaging events: Communication Major Night and Business Major Night, led by the student representatives of each major. Students from each department came together to meet new people, play games, and enjoy a night of community and connection.

The Communication Major Night kicked things off in a relaxed and friendly environment filled with food, games, and conversation. Students had the chance to meet others in their major—from freshmen just starting out to upperclassmen who shared advice about classes and career goals. The head of the department also attended the event to welcome students.
One of the highlights of the evening was a tour of the Communication Studio, where students explored media spaces and areas used for creative projects. The tour offered everyone a closer look at the facilities and resources available to Communication majors, with faculty members there to answer questions and provide guidance. Overall, it was a great night for students to connect and feel inspired about their major.

The Business Major Night brought just as much excitement. The event gave Business students a chance to connect outside the classroom in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed dinner together before joining group games and activities that encouraged teamwork and friendly competition. Conversations flowed as students talked about internships, career goals, and their experiences in class. It was a great reminder of how supportive and motivated the Business community at UAC is.
Both events showed how special the UAC community can be when students come together. Whether through games, food, or simple conversations about shared interests, these major nights helped everyone feel more connected. Events like these boost school spirit and make campus life more meaningful—reminding us that UAC isn’t just a place to study but also a place to grow, have fun, and build friendships.
That’s one of the things I love most about this campus and what made me want to stay another semester. Overall, both events were a big success and a highlight of the year—it’s always wonderful to see students come together and create lasting friendships.
