Welcome to the University of Utah Asia Campus.
I am honored to be part of the University of Utah family and to be serving as the Chief Administrative Officer and Dean of Faculty here at the University of Utah’s Asia Campus in Incheon, South Korea. As I begin my tenure, my goal is to continue to build on the exceptional academics and strong traditions already established at UAC. We will continue to be student-centered, faculty and staff-focused, and community-minded. I will give my full attention to ensuring that the students at the University of Utah Asia Campus receive a top-notch educational experience. Our students have a unique opportunity to be part of a world-renowned university with a home campus in the United States, yet enjoy most of their university experience right here in Korea. I will work alongside our outstanding faculty to make sure the students are well prepared for the year they will spend on the main campus in Salt Lake City, Utah. This will be an exciting time for them as they find that they truly get the best of both worlds. In this very difficult time of a world-wide pandemic and the constant challenges that COVID-19 presents, I am personally committed to the health and safety of our UAC community, thusly prioritizing our policies and decisions. Rest assured that we have taken and will continue to take exhaustive measures to ensure that our students, faculty, and staff are safe. We will continue to monitor this situation and will keep students and parents apprised of any changes necessary. We know that a quality educational experience can occur in myriad ways, and we believe that COVID-19 has provided opportunities to expand those. So, whether classes are in person, online, or a combination of learning platforms, UAC students will be taught and mentored by dedicated and exceptional faculty. Campus life activities are an essential part of a memorable and successful university experience, so we will keep students involved in their UAC community, whether in-person or virtually. I am excited to start the 2020-2021 school year! We look forward to a wonderful year, full of opportunities and experiences that will make all of us better people.
Go Utes!
